D16 Group announced that their Frontier limiter plugin is now available for free download for any registered user (no need to own any previous products as before).
Not only is Frontier a straightforward limiter, it also has versatile and creative options through its selectable control input and optional soft clipping. Two large knobs determine the appearance, plus two small controls, the soft clip button and the powerful level meter, which is held in a very handsome green.
In the middle of the GUI is the display for the Real Time Gain Reduction, values from 0 to 48 dB can be displayed here. At the latest when the pointer leaves the white area, not only the volume is increased, but also introduces distortion.
With Frontier, vocal or instrument recordings or entire buses can easily be ironed out smoothly, but drum grooves are not only louder, but also more interesting and lively. The soft-clip function allows you to colorize the signal with saturation and to miss every shot of Crunch, Grid and Drive
Frontier is available for Windows in 32- and 64-bit VST and AAX formats, for MacOS users in 32- and 64-bit VST, AU and AAX formats.
Frontier is available free of charge for any existing registered user at D16 Group site, so all you must do is to click the link below, register an account (if you don’t have one) and then download the plugin for free.
